Good morning everyone!
I hope everybody is well and enjoying their online learning tasks. Did anyone manage to find out any interesting information about the Queen yesterday, or make any delicious cakes? If you did then don't forget to send them through to [email protected]!
As for me, I found out that on the 21st April, in 753 BC (before christ was born), according to Roman mythology, Romulus and Remus found Rome!
Also another special mention for TA, LB, LH, PH, MH, and AP for having a go at TT Rockstars yesterday!
Maths
Year 2 - I have attached a Powerpoint for you to have a look at about the 10 times table and some questions for you to have a go at.
Year 3 - I have attached a Powerpoint for you to have a look at about dividing by 3 and some questions to have a go at.
English
Year 2 - I have attached Pie Corbett's Talk for writing booklet, I would like you to try reading the first part I have chosen on the myth of Pandoras box. Once you have done this can you try the activity and draw the box? As a challenge can you write down why you have chosen the box to look like that and label your box? Also as a super special challenge, can you write about why you research what a myth is?
Year 3 - I have attached Pie Corbett's Talk for writing booklet, I would like you to try reading the first part I have chosen on the truth about Trolls. I would like everyone to try and get at least 5 different definitions of the words written down that fit into the text. As a challenge, can anyone get all of the definitions written down and then use the words in your own sentences? Another challenge here, I wonder if anyone can use these words in their own sentences which also include a fronted adverbial?
Science
As today is Earth day, I have attached a powerpoint about Earth day and what you can do to help the Earth. Once you have had a look at it, I want you to try and do the Earth day scavenger hunt in your house (making sure to stay safe). As a Special Challenge lets see if anyone can make an acrostic poem about Earth day!
Earth is our planet.
April 22nd is when we celebrate.
Recycling is key.
There is lots we can do to help!
Helping clean up the planet.
Doing a little each day.
Always goes a long way.
You all have to help do your part!
I would love to see who can make a poem like mine, so don't forget to send them through to
Stay safe and have a lovely day
Mr G :)
