Today we are going to learn about the life cycle of the caterpillar.
At the beginning of 'The Hungry Caterpillar' story we see the caterpillar pop out of the egg and the end of the story it changes into the beautiful butterfly.

Rabbits, Mice and Squirrels - draw pictures in sequence.
Can you hear and write the initial and other sounds in words?
egg - 'e' can you hear a 'g'
caterpillar - 'c' keep stretching c-a-t ...p-i-l...r
Listen and write all the sounds you can hear.
Foxes, Owls and Hedgehogs - draw pictures in sequence.
With each picture say and write a sentence.
eg. The egg on a leaf
Then write the sentences.
Remember to send pictures of your work!
Maths time
Rabbits, Mice and Squirrels Count together and write the numbers in your books
Owls and Hedgehogs count forwards and backwards to 10
Owls and Hedgehogs Fill in the missing numbers and write them in your book
Foxes, Owls you might want to try
Now fill in the sheet. Say and write in your book

Things to do during the afternoon:
- letter formation (pack and write some in book)
- spellings (use the word lists in your pack) Foxes and Owls choose 2 words and make and write a sentence.
- reading time (little books and lotto words)
- try something from the PE/mindful folder/outdoor time If you go in the garden or go for a walk look out for butterflies!
