Choose a session from the PE folder and carry out a physical activity. If the weather is nice try and get some fresh air and do some physical exercise outside whilst it is still sunny. Why not go for a walk? Go for a bike ride? Enjoy that sunshine and get active.

I can put my year 5 and year 6 tricky words into a sentence.
Have a go at using the Look, Cover, Write and Check method to learn how the spell the words which are underneath. . Write down the words that you have learnt in a sentence. Remember that you need to be able to spell these words by the end of year 6.
For example: The work that the girl produced was marvellous because it was evident to see that she had put in a lot of effort.

I would like you to read the extract in the English folder. It is an extract from The Snow-Walker's Son by Catherine Fisher. You can also listen to the extract here: https://soundcloud.com/talkforwriting/doors. Then complete the following activities.
Read through the extract and underline any new words. Use a dictionary to find out the meanings. If you haven’t got a dictionary use an online dictionary on the internet.
Eg flickered – means to shine with a light that is sometimes bright and sometimes weak.
Highlight all of the adjectives in a colour of your choice – remember an adjective is a describing word (it describes the noun)
Next highlight all of the verbs in another colour. Remember a verb describes an action.
Check you work by looking at the answer sheet.
I can identify properties of 3D shapes
This lesson is all to do with recognising and understanding the properties of 3D shapes. First click on the two you tube video link to learn about 3D shapes and their properties. Then read the powerpoint on 3D shapes.
Once you have done this click on the 3D maths activity sheet. Complete the table. Use the answer sheet to check your answers.
Go on a shape hunt around your house and in the garden. What 3D shapes can you find? Which shape is the most popular? Why not take some photos of the shapes that you have found and email them in.
Click on the link and watch how to draw different 3D shapes. Have a go at drawing some of your own. Remember to send some of your pictures in you artistic lot.
If you want to - you could take a picture of what you have been doing and email it in to the office. [email protected] We would love to see what 'home learning' you are doing.
I hope you enjoy carrying out these activities today!
Stay Safe. Missing you lots. Mrs Tyler
