Please see the message below from the Mowbray Education Trust.
Dear parents/carers,
One of the single biggest ways that schools can improve outcomes for their students is to ensure that the curriculum we offer is of the highest quality. At Mowbray Education Trust, we believe all our children, in all our schools, deserve the very best. As an academy trust, we have the opportunity to set aside additional time to bring all of our staff together to share best practice for our students. We have therefore asked the trustees to approve setting aside additional INSET time for curriculum development. Trustees have approved this request, and we will be providing all our staff with professional development time. This time will be dedicated to improving our curriculum so that every day thereafter will be a better learning experience for the children.

We have chosen to add the dates for the additional INSET days on to existing holidays in order to minimise disruption for parents. Our schools will have an INSET day on the following dates:

14th February 2025 (All MET schools)
24th February 2025 (All MET schools)
11th April 2025 (Secondary Schools only)
23rd May 2025 (Primary Schools only)

Each individual school will make arrangements to ensure that those children in receipt of free school meals will be provided for.
