Morning! 

It's phonics time again. 

Read the flashcards, saying the sounds. 

Phase 2: Rabbits, Mice and Squirrels

Phase 3: Foxes, Owls , Hedgehogs

 

Maths time

Sing 'Five Little Ducks...' together

Count to 20 using fingers, clapping, jumping...

Count back form 20

Phase 2

Read the tricky words: I, no, go, to, the, into

Now write them in your book.

Today think of some words beginning with 'b' such as - big, bed, bin

Letter formation - write the letter 'b' in your book.

Listen to the sounds in the words and stretch them, then write them in your book eg. b-i-g

Then read the words. 

Phase 3

Read  he, she, we, me, be, was, are, see, his, him

Now write them in your book. your book.

Today think of some words beginning with 'ch' such as - chip, chin, chick

Letter formation - write the 'ch' digraph in 

Listen to the sounds in the words and stretch them, then write them in your book eg. ch-i-p

Then read the words.

English time

Today we are going to start learning about 'The Three Bears'

Keep sharing the story together.

 

You will find different versions of the story on youtube.

 

Talk about the story

Who are the characters? (Goldilocks, mummy, daddy and baby bear)

What happens at the beginning of the story?

What are the bears making?

What do they have for breakfast?

Where do the bears go?

 

Draw a picture of one/more of the characters in your book and write about.

Foxes, Owls and Hedgehogs - copy the day, then say your sentence and write it.

Squirrels, Mice and Rabbits - write your name, talk about the characters, try and write words or copy labels.

Remember if you want to share any of you work send it to the school office!

Count to 20 clapping, potatoes, jumping...

Count back from 20.

Count objects around your home: cups, bowls, toys...

Grown ups ask them to give you: 5 spoons, or clap 10 times...

  • remember to try and have a run about in the garden 
  • chose something from the topic folder
