Good morning year 2/3

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Did you get up to anything nice? Also, did anyone make the most of the sunny weather? What books did you read over the weekend and did you discuss them with an adult? I have really enjoyed being able to watch football over the weekend and throughout the week.

 

Reading

I would like you to continue with your summer reading challenge from last week, I have attached the link for you.

 

English

Year 2 - I have attached a spelling and grammar sheet for you to try. If you are feeling like more of a challenge then have a go at the 3 star sheets.

Year 3 - I have attached 6 spelling and grammar sheets for you to try over the next few lessons. I would only like you to do the sixth one today. If you are feeling like more of a challenge then have a go at the 3 star sheets.

 

Maths

Year 2 - I have attached a Powerpoint for you to have a look at and some questions to have a go at about counting the sides on a 2D shape . As a challenge, do you think you can complete the challenge sheet and solve the problems?

Year 3 - I have attached a link to a lesson on unit and non-unit fractions. I would like you to follow the lesson.

Also everyone try to get on TT rockstars as well so you can practice your times tables!

 

Science / Art

As lots of flowers are now flowering, I have attached a task for you to try where you will be making your own fork print of a sunflower. As a challenge, can you label the different parts of a sunflower on your painting?
