Morning Ducklings!

hope you have has a lovely weekend.

Did you make any decorations for VE day, or did you have a picnic?

Here is some phonic skills to practice. 

Rabbits, Squirrels and Mice - phase 2 word building

Foxes, Owls and Hedgehogs - phase 3 'oa' sheet

This week we are learning about fruits and vegetables and keeping healthy.

We are going to start with a story with lots of different types of fruit.

Share the power point it has fruit in from the story

Name the fruits and describe them.

What do they look like?   (colour, shape)

How do they feel?   (hard, soft, bumpy...)

Rabbits, Squirrels and Mice - make a list of the fruits

Foxes, Owls and Hedgehogs - write sentences naming and describing the fruits

Maths time

This week reception are learning about sharing and finding half.

Y1's are learning about doubles helping with addition and the beginnings of multiplication.

 

Let's begin by counting to 100.

Remember to join in!

Draw some shapes - circle, or a square, or a triangle...

Fold the shapes in half and then cut them in half.

Draw shapes in your book, draw a line down the middle and colour in

Y1 - join in making doubles

Foxes - can you find the doubles and talk about them

Write the double number sentences in your books and count how many altogether

After lunch

It's time for a story!

Things to do during the afternoon:

  • letter formation
  • spellings 
  • reading time (little books and lotto words)
  • try something from the PE/mindful folder/outdoor time     

If you have some fruit try printing, drawing or painting it
