Monday 25th January 2021

Hi Everyone,

We have been looking at how to make the school safe by tomorrow and unfortunately we feel we can’t.
The school drive and car park is thick with snow and even if Mr Blackshaw manages to moves it all, we are concerned that the remaining and developing ice will prove to be dangerous to families and staff that use the car park drive. The car park is on a slope and we do not want anyone to have an accident. Therefore the school will NOT be open tomorrow. Will will reopen on Wednesday.
Teachers will again provide home learning.
Thank you for your support.

Sunday 24th January 2021

Dear all, due to the recent heavy snowfall and the fact that temperatures are due to fall well below freezing tonight, we have taken the decision as a Trust to close all of our school sites tomorrow.  It is likely to be unsafe to open them and unsafe for staff to travel in from various locations. All learning will be available remotely and I have asked teachers to plan a timetable for the day which can include some time for fun in the snow. Just to clarify, school will be closed for all pupils tomorrow including keyworkers children and vulnerable children.  We have taken this decision now so that you have as much time as possible to make alternative plans as I know this will be inconvenient for many of you.  We will keep you posted on any further changes. Thank you for your understanding.❄️☃️❄️⛄
